Shakira credits her family with helping to keep her grounded as she continues to gain worldwide exposure with her concert tour, and via promotional deals with huge corporate sponsors such as Pepsi and Reebok. Shakira told LAUNCH, "I've been very fortunate to have a family around me all these years--people who love me for what I am. People who know where I come from, where I'm going to, what my goals are. They have definitely been a very positive influence in my life to assimilate the subtleties and the nuances of fame and popularity and all that."
