Osborn says the decision to go with the new look was very quick, as she tells LAUNCH. "I just did this about two months ago, I think, and it was just on a whim," she says. "My sister-in-law had braids and I saw hers and I'm like, 'That's it! I'm gettin' 'em done.' I didn't ask anybody. I didn't tell anybody I was doin' 'em. I just got 'em done, and this is something I've always wanted to try, and so I just did it. I've gotten so much flack for it, but I've had so many compliments. It's just, you know, either you love it or you hate it, and I've loved it and hated it at the same time."
Osborn adds that the braids, which took 18 hours to do, have been an interesting study in humanity. The singer says she is often treated like a "hoodlum" when out in public. Osborn plans to keep her braids for only a few more weeks before moving on to another look. Shedaisy's current single, "Mine All Mine," continues to climb the country singles charts.
