The rest of the soundtrack will be filled with songs from the Civil War era, performed by artists including folk singer Hazel Dickens, country musicians Stuart Duncan and Tim O'Brien, and singer-guitarist Jack White of modern rockers the White Stripes. White also has a small role in the film.
Cold Mountain is scheduled to open December 25. The film stars Jude Law as a Confederate soldier after the war, struggling to get back to his wife, who is played by Nicole Kidman. Renee Zellweger co-stars in the movie, which was filmed in Romania.
