Supagroup, a four-piece formed in New Orleans, plays straight-up trashy rock & roll in the time-honored tradition of AC/DC, replete with power chords and anthemic songs about the soul-saving power of rock. The band is led by Chris and Benji Lee, rock & roll brothers originally from Anchorage, AK.
A stripped-down three-piece version of the band self-released their first album Planetrock in 1996. With a change in lineup, adding drummer Mark Brill and bassist Leif Swift, the band shifted from a pop/grunge sound to the high-energy rock & roll they are now known for.
