Nugent tells LAUNCH he considers Hagar the perfect addition to what's always a spirited bill. "I can't imagine who I'd rather have," says Nugent. "He and I have always been buddies, and we've always been, I think, mutual admiration mongers. I just think he is the quintessential rock frontman. I love the attitude, the energy, the fire, the incredible pipes, and the way he manipulates those pipes to deliver what he's done--in everything from Montrose to Sammy [by himself] to Van Halen and beyond. And I love his new record. So when I made the offer to him, it was perfect."
Hagar is on tour to promote his latest album, Ten 13. Nugent recently finished filming an installment of the cable Arts & Entertainment channel's Biography series and plans to begin working on his next solo album this spring.
