Bono on Yahoo!

Yahoo! Music, Jul 6, 2006 2:00 pm PDT
Bono is to bring the Make Poverty History campaign to Yahoo!, when he invites the world to join the cause.

The U2 frontman, political agitator, and Live 8 campaigner will appear on Yahoo! tomorrow, 12 months after the world's leaders were asked to cancel third world debt.

Bono will post a question at Yahoo! Answers in a bid to encourage support from people across the globe, in 12 countries and in six languages.

From tomorrow, Friday, July 7, until Sunday, July 9, you will have the opportunity to respond to his question, which is: "What can we do to make poverty history?"

The intention is to engage people and spark meaningful debate, ideas, and support from all ages and backgrounds.

Bono will also appear in an exclusive Yahoo! video to discuss the issue of poverty, while Yahoo! has committed to make a $25,000 donation to the Global Fund.
