American Music Awards Presented Tonight
Yahoo! Music, Jan 17, 2000 10:00 am PSTThe ceremony is taking place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Diana Ross will be on hand to pay tribute to Dr. King. In addition, singer Mariah Carey will be honored with a special award in recognition of her extraordinary string of hits, and singer Gloria Estefan will receive an Award of Merit. Presenters at the American Music Awards include Brian McKnight, Faith Evans, Queen Latifah, the Roots, Sisqo, Tyrese, Britney Spears, Warren G, DMX, and Chico DeBarge. Performers include McKnight, Carey, Evans, Eve, Dr. Dre, Eminem, R. Kelly, Jennifer Lopez, and Joe.
