Lifebeat's executive director Tim Rosta told LAUNCH, "Lifebeat is proud to partner with young artists such as 'N Sync. Their commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS is truly commendable." The concert footage featured in the PSAs comes from the Music With A Message World AIDS Day concert at New York City's Beacon Theater, held on December 1, 1999. The concert also featured Monica, Destiny's Child, Wyclef Jean, and Joey McIntyre and it raised $250,000 for the organization.
The PSAs will be distributed nationally, reaching more than 72 million cable viewers across America. This summer, Lifebeat will begin a radio PSA campaign featuring Britney Spears, Sarah McLachlan, Busta Rhymes, and Third Eye Blind, among others.
