The Verve reveal new music

Yahoo! Music, Oct 19, 2007 4:00 pm PDT
The Verve have revealed the titles of some of the songs written for the band's upcoming reunion tour and comeback album.

Richard Ashcroft and company announced plans to reform earlier this year and are due to return to the live stage in Glasgow at the start of November.

Bass player Simon Jones has been speaking about the group's rehearsals and the new material, which could amount to their first album of original music in a decade.

"Sit And Wonder," "Judas," "Appalachian Springs," "Mona Lisa," and "Rather Be" are among the tracks apparently being demoed.

In the online post, Jones discussed the older material being rehearsed by the group and appealed to fans to make suggestions for what they'd like to hear on the tour.

Describing the recent sessions as "amazing," he said: "What have we missed that you wanna hear? Is it too early to play new stuff? Do we skip the obvious? Do we do the obscure? Let me know!"

The Verve's comeback tour details are as follows:

November 2007
02 03 Carling Academy, Glasgow
05 06 Empress Ballroom, Blackpool
08 The Roundhouse, London

December
13 London O2 Arena
15 Glasgow SECC
17 Belfast Odyssey Arena
20 Manchester Central
