Remaining in the group with Dylan are longtime members, bassist Greg Richling and drummer Mario Calire, but gone is guitarist Michael Ward, who was removed from the group before it started recording Red Letter Days. Filling out the live sound is former Buckcherry guitarist Yogi and back-up singer/percussionist Moe Z.M.D.
Dylan tells LAUNCH, "You know, feeling great about it. It's like, you know, I think we've been limited before and I don't think the spirit's always been good. That's the nature of being in a group--sometimes, you know, not everybody gets along. And, you know, I think that we committed to just getting rid of a lot of the energy that wasn't working towards the same thing and I think that the energy now is really good. And I think that everybody is focused on the same thing."
The tour takes the Wallflowers to 14 destinations in the Midwest and Northeast over the next two and a half weeks. A more substantial itinerary is currently in the works.
Red Letter Days debuted at Number 32 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart last week with more than 38,000 copies sold, according to sources.
