'One Love' Becomes Anthem For Millennium Events

(12/23/99, 7 a.m. ET) - The Gipsy Kings, Ziggy Marley, Tsidii Le Loka, and the Boys Choir Of Harlem have collaborated on a new version of the classic Bob Marley song, "One Love." The tune is going to be the vocal anthem for the television production 2000 Today.

Performances from the production will be part of a live broadcast to air on PBS and ABC stations across the U.S. on New Year's Eve. Fifty-seven worldwide broadcasters will also run 2000 Today, which will feature millennium concerts from Chile to Japan, Auckland to France, to Fiji.

The Gipsy Kings will perform "One Love" live from a New Year's Eve celebration being held in Miami. The broadcast will cross 24 time zones during 26 hours of programming.

The new version of "One Love" is only going to be available on the 2000 Today soundtrack album. To catch a sneak peek of the video, check out Sony Music's website at www.2000todaymusic.com.
